Q. How do you change the blades to get a different cut?
A. The Slice-O-Matic comes with detailed instructions that include how to replace blades and wash it. You can change from the slicing blade to the Julienne blade easily.
Q. Do I need to push down on the vegetable or fruit for the blade to slice it?
A. Not at all. You can drop the item right into the holding are and take your hand away. Simply push down on the handle and the blade will catch and slice or dice for you.
Q. How do you clean the Slice-O-Matic?
A. The catch container can be placed in the dishwasher, however the top mechanism should be washed after each use with warm soapy water, then rinsed and allowed to dry thoroughly.
Q. Can the Slice-O-Matic cut tomatoes?
A. Unfortunately it cannot cut tomatoes well enough, consistently, for us to recommend doing it.
