FAQ
Q. Does the eGlide work on any part of the body safely?
A. Yes the eGlide is absolutely safe to use on all body and facial hair for women and all body hair for men, the only area it is not indicated for is men’s facial hair which is not a safety issue merely that it is not effective.
Q. Will I successfully achieve hair removal?
A. In a word YES! Provided you carefully follow the instructions. Be patient, hair grows in 8-12 week cycles. After 60 days with regular treatment, you will see positive results.
Q. Is eGlide as good as needle electrolysis?
A. Better, because it can treat many hairs at once. It is therefore faster, safer and is non-invasive. There are no side effects such as pitting or scarring caused by needle electrolysis. It is easier because anyone can use it. Needle electrolysis works but requires a fully qualified professional beautician to administer the treatment. The eGlide is the safe and easy way to remove hair. You may use eGlide on all skin types.
Q. What causes excessive hair growth?
A. A number of conditions including hormonal changes, stress, menopause, puberty, medication or hereditary conditions. These can all influence hair growth.
Q. Can I treat areas like my legs?
A. Yes, but you need to treat 10cm square areas at a time.
Q. What is the procedure after treatment?
A. Always tweeze hairs out in direction of hair growth. If the skin is spotty, try a non-greasy antiseptic cream. You will find that stubborn hairs will be easier to pull out after several treatments. Simply follow your normal beauty and make up routines after treatment. We recommend a good moisturiser as electrolysis tends to dry out the skin.
Q. Why is the treatment advised to be followed strictly for the period in the instructions?
A. This is so that you treat the area throughout the growth cycles of the human hair follicle which in a certain area takes 8-12 weeks to be complete, if you want to get the absolute best out of the eGlide treatment and be hair free at a fraction of the cost of salon treatments then it is important to follow the detailed instructions in the Instruction manual.
Q. Is there a limit to the amount of treatments you can perform on one area?
A. In the treated area you only need to treat once a week for the three months to effectively remove the hair so treatment frequency should never be an issue.
Q. Is the eGlide as good as Laser Hair Removers?
A. eGlide is easier to use than Laser Hair Removers particularly on multiple hairs. No potential side effects. Laser treatment cannot be used on Dark Skin eGlide can and is clinically proven to be just as effective.
Q. Is the eGlide painful?
A. All you may feel is a slight tingling sensation during treatment. Apply more gel to reduce this. Metal teeth fillings sometimes react to treatment on the face and you may experience a slight metallic taste which only lasts for a short time. This is quite normal. Occasionally your skin will turn pink around the treatment area. This again is normal and will disappear in a short time. When you tweeze out a hair, always make sure you do this in the direction of growth to make sure this is as painless as possible.
How to use your eGlide
Making sure your finger and thumb are touching chrome conductive strips each side of unit, place roller on area to be treated. Unit will bleep twice when roller touches skin and green contact LED will come on.
Treatment area should be 2 to 3 square centimetres. Gently roll the roller back and forth over area to be treated making sure roller does not lose contact with the skin. If you are using eGlide on small areas like the upper lip, do not worry if there is not enough room to move the roller. As long as the roller is in contact with the skin it will still work. If the roller loses contact with the skin the unit will bleep 3 times and switch off. You then have to turn unit on again and select Face Roller mode once more.
A treatment cycle contains 3 x 20 second treatments. However there is a 10 second rest period between each 20 second treatment. During the rest period contact LED will flash. The contact LED will stay on during treatment time. Total treatment cycle 90 seconds. At the end of the treatment cycle the unit will Bleep 3 times and switch off. Gently pull out hairs in direction of growth using tweezers provided.
After treating one area move on to another area.
eGlide is not designed for Eyebrows. Do not exceed 2 treatment cycles of 90 seconds in the same area per day. Do not exceed 2 treatment cycles per day for more than 5 days per week in the same 2 to 3 cm square area.
Treatment on the body
The effective treatment area is 10cm x 10cm.
The stencil measures an area 10cm x 5cm for convenience You can therefore mark out two stencil areas using the marker crayon for an effective treatment area.
Stencil areas can be marked out either side by side or one above the other. (Marker crayon can be easily removed using a damp cloth or cotton wool). Thoroughly clean skin. It is recommended that body treatment should be after a bath or shower. Apply conductive gel on to area you have marked out for treatment.

A treatment cycle is 2 x 5 minute treatments with a 1 minute rest period after first 5 minutes. Total treatment cycle 11 minutes.
During the rest period the contact LED will flash. The contact LED will stay on during the treatment time as long as the roller remains in contact with the skin. Do not remove roller from contact with the skin even in the rest period. If this happens 3 bleeps will sound and the unit will switch off.
Switch the unit on again and select Body Roller Mode. Mark out a new 10cm square and treat a new area as above. Gently pull out hairs in direction of growth using tweezers provided.
Do not exceed 1 treatment cycle of 11 minutes in the same area per day. Do not exceed 6 daily treatment cycles per week in the same 10cm square treatment area.
Experiencing a slight tingling sensation? This can be reduced with thorough cleansing of treatment area. A great time to treat hair is after a hot bath or shower. The skin is clean, dead skin cells have been removed and the follicles will be more open and receptive. This gives the gel clearer access to the hair root and the galvanic current from the eGlide will do its job more effectively. Hairs will also be easier to pull out with tweezers.
